About Us

Vayavya Labs was founded in 2006 in Belagavi, India with the objective of developing software solutions for the hardware-software interface. Since then Vayavya Labs has grown, developing software expertise in Automotive, EDA, Semiconductors, and Networking while acquiring numerous patents covering EDA/ESL, Embedded SW and SW Automation domains.

RK has over 30 years of industry experience in the domain of Telecom, Embedded software, and Semiconductors. Before co-founding Vayavya, he was a co-founder at Smart Yantra Technologies, where he held various positions in engineering, marketing, and management. At Vayavya RK is responsible for the overall management and strategic decisions related to engineering and business activities.

Uma’s expertise’s in the domain of language parser, terminal firmware, and mission-critical backup software. She has over 30 years of industry & academic experience. She is responsible for product engineering and delivery.

Sainath is responsible for Project Delivery. He brings over 25 years of industry experience in managing projects and accounts. His responsibilities encompass the entire spectrum of project management, starting from understanding customer requirements and culminating in successful delivery. Sainath has a proven track record of effectively building and leading teams, ensuring they align with customer expectations. Throughout his career, he has managed projects with diverse complexities, covering a wide range of execution and delivery models. This includes handling projects that span the entire product development lifecycle, from embedded firmware development to application layer development. Sainath’s extensive experience and proficiency in managing projects across various domains help in ensuring successful project deliveries.

Ravi is an experienced leader with over 30 years of expertise in Embedded R&D and Engineering Business Solutions. His industry experience spans Automotive, Consumer Electronics, CNC Systems, Scientific Measuring Instruments, and Hybrid Circuits. He has successfully handled various roles, including managing large project programs, and technical delivery. He also has driven business growth strategy and Profit and Loss (P&L), handling RFI/RFP and Techno-Commercial Responses. He has experience in building training academies for upskilling and reskilling. Ravi’s vast leadership experience, industry knowledge, and proficiency in functional safety make him a valuable asset for Vayavya Labs.

Erik takes care of Business Development at Vayavya. He holds BS and MS in Computer Science from the University of Georgia and has 4 patents in HW/SW verification and audio. He has expertise in General management, strategy, value-based sales/marketing, and functional verification. Erik defined his career by serially leading software service and technology teams, and pioneering new value propositions in new industry categories.

He is the Senior Director at Cadence Design Systems in San Jose, responsible for product management of the Cadence System Development Suite, a set of four connected platforms for concurrent HW/SW design and verification. Prior to Cadence, Frank held senior roles at AXYS Design Automation, Chip Vision Design Automation, Imperas and Synopsys. Frank had originally joined Cadence in 1997 after holding various positions in the area of real-time embedded software development and hardware development of ASICs and IP to help drive Cadence’s first foray into the system-level design and embedded software areas, the Felix Initiative, as well as advanced verification. Frank holds a Dipl.-Ing. from the Technical University of Berlin and his research interests center around System-Level Design and Embedded Software. Frank Schirrmeister

Tomas Evensen is Chief Scientist, Embedded Software at Xilinx. In this role he is responsible for the embedded software strategy for Xilinx’ All Programmable SoCs. Prior to joining Xilinx, Evensen was Chief Technology Officer at Wind River for 7 years, as well as GM for the Wind River Tools Division. Before that he was the creator of the Diab Data C/C++ compilers.

Evensen received his MSEE at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
